This hotel provides fantastic comfort and fantastic staff.
I was horrified to find that the rooms lacked air conditioning, making my stay unbearable during the hot afternoons. The fans provided are woefully insufficient to cool the rooms, which face the relentless heat. I expected more modern amenities from a hotel that charges premium prices.

The lack of air conditioning in the rooms is a frustrating oversight!!! The sash windows were problematic, often requiring jamming to stay open or closed. Wouldn't it be nice if the cleaning staff were more attentive to setup details?

Clean room with comfy bed. breakfast was a delight with plenty of choices. The staff were exceptional, always welcoming and helpful. Loved the historical touches around the hotel, especially the WWII bunker on-site.
